We’re looking for young people aged 16–24 across Canada who make visual art, whether at school, in their communities, or on their own. Or maybe you prefer not to use it at all. We’re interested in all of those experiences.
  • Who can participate?

You don’t necessary to be an expert in generative AI or enthusiastic about using it. Maybe you use AI regularly. We are interested in a wide range of experiences, including people who use AI frequently, have only experimented with it, have concerns about it, or choose not to use it in their creative work……
  • What do you need to do if you join us?

You’ll be invited to a 60–90 minute Zoom interview, in English or French. We’ll ask you about your artmaking, your creative experiences, and what you think about generative AI. There are no right or wrong answers. We’re interested in your own experiences and opinions.

With your consent, we’ll record the interview to help us document and study what you share. You may also choose to share your artwork with us, but this is optional.

  • Why does your experience matter?

We want to hear from young artists themselves, rather than make assumptions about how they feel about AI.

Your experiences can help us better understand how young people are choosing to use, question, or refuse AI in their creative lives.

By sharing your perspective, you’ll contribute to research that may help shape future conversations about AI, art, and education.
